Donald Faces Backlash After Immigration Ban

An unprecedented global backlash against President Twittermouth Trump's immigration ban on 7 Muslim countries has gathered strength with Tens of Thousands protesting in Washington, other U.S cities as well as London and other world capitals.

Governments from London and Berlin spoke out against Trump's order to put a four-month hold on allowing refugees into the United States and temporarily ban on travellers from Syria and six other Muslim-majority countries. He said the move would help protect Americans from terrorism.

In Germany - which has taken in large numbers of people fleeing the Syrian civil war - Chancellor Angela Merkel said the global fight against terrorism was no excuse for the measures She expressed her concerns to Trump during a phone call and reminded him that the Geneva Conventions require the international community to take in war refugees on humanitarian grounds, the spokesman added.
Merkel's sentiments were echoed in Paris and London; "Terrorism knows no nationality. Discrimination is no response," said French Foreign minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, while his British counterpart Boris Johnson tweeted: "Divisive and wrong to stigmatize because of nationality."
Along with Syria, the U.S. ban of at least 90 days affects travellers with passports from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, including those with dual nationality that includes one of those countries.

So what has been Trump's response  he tweeted
Trump said his order, which indefinitely bans refugees from Syria, was "not a Muslim ban", though he added he would seek to prioritize Christian refugees fleeing the country.

Bad dudes out there? Hmm after less than 2 weeks in office why is this man already reminding me of  Germany 1936!!  It seems rather ironic that countries like Libya and Iraq which have descended into the chaotic states they are today after their leaders were violently toppled by action from the US, Britain and their so called allies now have to suffer the stigma of being labelled terrorist states, while Syria was a relatively stable country until the West decided to arm and support a rabble of opponents to the Assad government whom they have effectively tried to demonise ever since.

Meanwhile Saudi Arabia arguably the main sources of  the extreme Wahabi Islamist ideology and hardline terrorists - remember 911  has again been convenient left off the list.. hmm I wonder why.

What is also baffling is how this knee jerk reaction which at its best can be seem as symbolic rather than having any practical effect on the so called threat of terrorism will actually protect Americans at Home and abroad Iraq for example still hosts thousands of American soldiers
In Baghdad, influential Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr  has already been quoted as saying American nationals should leave Iraq, in retaliation for the travel curbs. "It would be arrogance for you to enter freely Iraq and other countries while barring to them the entrance to your country ... and therefore you should get your nationals out," he said on his website.

There are also American nationals present as expatriates in many Muslim capital cities around the world from Afghanistan, North Africa, Pakistan to Indonisia  will this measure stoke up anti American sentiments and attacks? and how will be Trump respond , Trump seems to forget that the threat of a terrorist attack can originate from almost anyone or anywhere at home or abroad for example  a home grown terrorist radicalised on the internet.

Only time will tell how these measures will play out and what Trumpy's next moves will be in the coming days weeks and years,  it seems we are all in for a bumpy ride, whatever happens I think his staff need to make sure his itchy fingers are no where near  that red nuclear button
Get some Russian hookers and a roll of spliff into the White House quick - that might just chill him out.  Peace not war man,  one love.

Madueke's Deizgate - the search for the missing $20Billion ... what??

The news has been awash with allegations of unbridled corruption and theft against the embattled former Nigerian minister of  Petroluem Resources Diezani  Allison-Madueke She has been accused of awarding multi-billion Naira contracts without recourse to due process, recklessly spending government funds as well as wasting billions of Nigerian dollars inappropriately on private jets. when she was in Government

In October 2009, the Senate of Nigeria indicted Diezani Alison-Madueke and recommended prosecution for the transfer of 1.2 billion naira into the private account of a toll company without due process and in breach of concession agreements however, she was not officially charged or tried for these allegations and strongly denied any wrongdoing.

She gained international notoriety as a symbol of  the Nigerian Government's corruption when she was arrested in London on October 2015 on suspicion of money laundering, British and American officials were quoted as saying that she might have personally organized the diversion of $6 billion from the Nigerian treasury she was however later freed without charges.

She became embroiled in a very public spat with the former Governor of the central bank Mr Sanusi who claimed he was fired from the Central Bank of Nigeria by the Jonathan Administration because he went public with charges that $20billion went missing from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) under her management. she countered the allegations by saying Sanusi made the claims to retaliate after she didn’t help him to get appointed as the president of the African Development Bank.

The EFCC under the present Government of Mohammed Buhari who was elected on the pledge that he would stamp out corruption seems to be determined to ensure that she is brought to book and even though Mrs Dieziana who states that she has been undergoing treatment for breast cancer recently released a very long statement to refute all  the charges against her - to many of her detractors she is like proverbial Lady Macbeth who could never wash her hands clean!!

Trump, Sex, Lies, Spies And A Golden Shower

You couldn't make this up even if you tried, the continuing lurid drama and almost daily flow of scandalous stories which seem to trail the U.S. President elect like flies to rotting fish seems more like something out of a very bad Spy novel or a 2nd rate Hollywood  Movie you know the ones that used to go straight to DVD back in the day
So now we have this latest dossier prepared  by an alleged ex M16 Intelligence officer Mr Steel (aka Mr now in hiding) which claims to have evidence of the President elect taking part in Golden Shower sessions with Russian prostitutes and just in case your wondering what a Golden Shower is, the official definition states that it's- an act of urinating on someone for sexual gratification..
hmm
The 35 page Dossier further goes on to claim that the Russian Intelligence service have gathered compromising information about some of  his shady business deals and  sexual perversions in an attempt to blackmail him

Mr Trump in his usual manner responded on Twitter by claiming it's all totally fake news:

Totally made up facts by sleazebag political operatives, both Democrats and Republicans - FAKE NEWS! Russia says nothing exists. Probably...

So what is the truth? with a personality like Trump I suppose its hard to tell,  has he got reason to be worried about his presidency?  I  doubt it this saga is probably going to run for while like a Star Wars franchise but with the kind of voters he's got out there he could probably get away with mass murder and they'd still support him!!
I suspect this is more of an attempt by the political establishment to try and muzzle someone they probably regard as a loose cannon with an unpredictable Rottweiler like temperament who they never expected to get to the White House.

What I do find ironic is the fact that after successfully building much of  his presidential campaign on innuendos and fake news stories on Facebook it looks like the spider got caught in its own web. and as they say 'Those Who Live In Glass Houses Shouldn't  Throw Stones"

Anyway I'm out for now -  sic going back into hiding - we are certainly living in interesting times folks, do you find this whole situation one big bizarre joke or do you think it has much more serious implications.  please feel free leave your comments and views.

Peace
